As an avid cross country runner and swimmer in my younger years, I benefited from an active and healthy lifestyle.
It wasn’t until college when I discovered weightlifting and found a bit of a new passion in the gym. After college, I like to say “life happened”...marriage, first child, house, second child, job, etc. Fast forward to 38 years old, 60 lbs overweight, and on a bad health track. I said enough and began to rediscover my enjoyment of the gym, weightlifting, and pursuing a healthier lifestyle. At 40, I decided I wanted to pursue competing in bodybuilding. I missed the training, focus, and active lifestyle brought about by athletic competition. At 42, I achieved a long time goal of stepping on stage for the first time as a competitive bodybuilder. I experienced that thrill of achievement, competition, and success in pushing my body, mind, and soul to a level further than I thought possible. After that, I knew I wanted to help other men (young and old) pursue their goals of physical fitness, health, and competition!
